RNA-Energy has entered into a co-development agreement with Ignis Energia SA, a reputable pan-European IPP with almost 3GW of renewable generation under management, and a further 14GW in development to co-develop RNA's propietary project portfolio.
Under the agreement RNA Energy will continue to develop its pipeline of 1GW+ of solar and battery projects, which will be co-funded by the strategic partner, built and co-managed once they reach ready-to-build status.
Roger Ammoun, CEO of RNA-Energy commented, “We are delighted to have achieved this important milestone for our business and our high quality project pipeline. We thank JLL for running a competitive and very efficient process that will ensure that RNA has a strong and highly experienced partner with whom we can convert our project pipeline into operating projects that can meaningfully contribute to the UK’s energy transition agenda.”
Marcus Peech, Director at JLL added, “This is a significant transaction for the UK subsidy free solar market and the national drive towards Net Zero 2050. Large-scale solar partnerships of this nature will form a vital contribution towards decarbonisation of our power markets and RNA Energy and their partners will be a notable part of that transition.”
