Netters and Lower Ellenden Farm Solar

RNA is working on two solar and battery storage projects in Kent.  One is at Netters Farm and the other is nearby at Lower Ellenden Farm.  We are working worked closely with the landowner to deliver projects that are sympathetic to there AONB setting, whilst keeping sustainable organic farming and biodiversity enhancement integral to our plans.  We believe that solar and agriculture are complimentary activities and allowing multiple land uses and diversification is crucial for farming to continue in the AONB.

Battery projects

Rush Green Battery Storage Facility

Rush Green is a 50MW, ready to build, battery storage project in North Hertfordshire.  We are busy finalising procurement and contracting before construction commences in early 2023.  This will be the first battery project RNA will fully manage all construction activities  and we can't wait to get going.

Tollgate Battery Storage Facility

Tollgate BSF is a 50MW battery storage project in North Hertfordshire that reached ready to build in mid-2018.  Construction started earlier in 2022 and is now nearing energisation after our partnership with Nippon Koei and subsequent financing process were completed.

Cuxton Battery Storage Facility

Cuxton BSF is also 50MW and, like its sister project at Tollgate, will also be energising shortly following our partnership with Nippon Koei.  RNA is excited to see two projects that started out as conversation with landowners back in 2017, finally providing the vital grid balancing services our network desperately needs, whilst helping to keep energy bills lower for all.
